☇015 - Video/Action for Ecruteak City, just outside the Tower

[ For the first time in weeks days, Squall finally appears on the network. Head tilted toward the sky, his brows furrows at the sight of snow intermingled with the hard rain. He's soaked, drenched and without a jacket. ]

Damn, thought I heard...

[ His head jerks at the sound of more thunder and a flash of lightning. Immediately he searches for the sound and finds nothing. Whatever brought him out of the tower, it had to be the lightning. Physically, he looks strained and tired--like he hasn't been sleeping properly. ]

Just another storm. Isn't it?

[ Squall glances toward his pokegear before reaching down to pick up his Cyndaquil. The fire-type seems to be wrapped up tightly with Squall's jacket before snuggling more into his chest.

[ The feed ends. ]

[She doesn't particularly like the terrible weather, but the network feed was a bit troublesome. And so Adlheid has ventured out into the rain with her Murkrow perched upon her shoulder.]

[ Squall turns and nods. His eyes flicker toward the bird on her shoulder but he doesn't say anything. ]

[Adelheid nods and Cozart flaps his wings and crows softly, knowing that his master will probably silence him if he gets too loud.]

You are going to get sick if you stay out here...

It's not that bad.

[ He shrugs again, watching the mix of rain and snow. It almost reminds him... of Shiva and once again he's thinking about that weird dream he had so many days ago. Sighing, he shakes his head and watches the bird on Suzuki's shoulder closely ]

[ Trepe... It can't be. Someone he actually knows... Is in this world, too? Someone from his own world? It's not like he didn't think it was possible but... he never really thought... ]

That's the one. A nice young lady with a ponytail. She was nearing Violet, last I heard.

"Years and years ago, there were two towers in Ecruteak. But one day, the western tower was hit by lightning and burned until the rain extinguished it, killing three Pokémon. So a rainbow-colored Pokémon descended from the eastern tower and revived the three, before leaving for lands unknown." That's the gist of it. The part about the lightning strike is particularly relevant in this case.

[ Damn it, now he's feeling guilty about not checking his 'gear that often. Not that he could, considering what he's been doing ever since he figured out he lost three whole days. ]

[Normally Aerith would have yelled at Squall and whatnot, but she is pretty sure a lot of people will do that, so she'll just ask striaght up. Plus, she was too tired to get into an arguement and too tired to worry, so she will just not talk as much today.]

[She will silently watch Squall almost like she was trying to figure out what he was thinking about. A baby Eevee with a red ribbon around her neck will appear on the screen with a curious look.]

["Mister, why do you look exactly like my Naptime Lap? Are you comfy like he is?" Aerith will pet the Eevee and gently push her away from the screen.]

Maria, sit down. Mama is talking to Uncle Squall now. Somehow it sounds like you were expecting to find something over there. I wonder what you were looking for, hm? Care to share a little more about it?

[She is silently hoping you do not tease her about the "Uncle Squall" bit like Leon kinda did.]

[ And he checked everywhere. Literally everywhere in that tower. Not bothering to rest or relax one bit while he went on a wild goose chase for... something he wasn't even sure really exists.

[ Something Aerith mutters has Squall staring not at the Eevee on his screen but directly at the owner. Yeah, he's raising an eyebrow at you, Missy. ]

[ Quistis' surroundings are a sharp contrast to Squall's — the lounge of the Violet Inn has a cozy glow, and she's curled up on a couch with a mug of steaming hot cocoa, wrapped in a blanket. She's not screwing with this weather. Not even kind of.

Despite her comfortable situation, though, she looks troubled. Squall is troubling. ]

There you are. You're a hard man to find, you know.

[ She hesitates briefly. ] This weather is serious, Squall. You really should get inside — and get some sleep. You look terrible.

[ A nod. Squall's face actually softens slightly and his lips twitch at the familiar sight. To think, she's really (honestly) here. In this world. Someone he knows before the Conflict even began... ]

So you really are here. By yourself?

The weather's not that bad. It's just snow. Rain. Thunder and Lightning.

[ Which in his opinion, isn't the worse thing he experienced. ]

[ The microexpression — one of her favourites — doesn't slip past her. She smiles warmly in response. ]

I arrived alone, yes; as far as I know, the others are still back home. I've met some people since, but I've been traveling alone. I'm in Violet City for now.

The snow's the worst of it. I guess I'm in no position to chastise you, anyway; I traveled for days in feet of the stuff. [ She laughs a little, ruefully. ]

[ He's not making any comments on how incredibly stupid standing outside in the snow in nothing but a t-shirt is. He doesn't exactly look impressed, though. Then again, Leon rarely looks impressed where Squall is involved. ]

[ Dammit, is it really too much to ask for that... every time he turns on his pokegear, this guy would just be gone from this world for good? Squall sighs but doesn't bother glancing at the gear as he speaks.

[ Yeah, this might be the first time he'll see the other... 'him' without something obscuring his view, but it's not like he really wants to know how much similarity there is between them. Not when the last 'twin' he had tried to kill him. Repeatedly.]

[ SOL, kid. He's stuck here, same as you are. To make matters possibly worse, he's wearing the modded coat Aerith made for him, and the long sleeves make the resemblance even more striking. Leon hasn't had the chance to really get much of a look at Squall, so he's taking the opportunity. Also he can hear that reply to Yuffie, you stole his damn line you little shit. ]

Good. She was worried about you. So was Aerith.
