☇015 - Video/Action for Ecruteak City, just outside the Tower

[ For the first time in weeks days, Squall finally appears on the network. Head tilted toward the sky, his brows furrows at the sight of snow intermingled with the hard rain. He's soaked, drenched and without a jacket. ]

Damn, thought I heard...

[ His head jerks at the sound of more thunder and a flash of lightning. Immediately he searches for the sound and finds nothing. Whatever brought him out of the tower, it had to be the lightning. Physically, he looks strained and tired--like he hasn't been sleeping properly. ]

Just another storm. Isn't it?

[ Squall glances toward his pokegear before reaching down to pick up his Cyndaquil. The fire-type seems to be wrapped up tightly with Squall's jacket before snuggling more into his chest.

[ The feed ends. ]

Hmmm, I see.

[She will silently watch Squall almost like she was trying to figure out what he was thinking about. A baby Eevee with a red ribbon around her neck will appear on the screen with a curious look.]

Vee?

["Mister, why do you look exactly like my Naptime Lap? Are you comfy like he is?" Aerith will pet the Eevee and gently push her away from the screen.]

Maria, sit down. Mama is talking to Uncle Squall now. Somehow it sounds like you were expecting to find something over there. I wonder what you were looking for, hm? Care to share a little more about it?

[She is silently hoping you do not tease her about the "Uncle Squall" bit like Leon kinda did.]

[ And he checked everywhere. Literally everywhere in that tower. Not bothering to rest or relax one bit while he went on a wild goose chase for... something he wasn't even sure really exists.

[ Something Aerith mutters has Squall staring not at the Eevee on his screen but directly at the owner. Yeah, he's raising an eyebrow at you, Missy. ]

...Uncle Squall?

[She is only going to sigh.] How can I not worry if I haven't heard any news about you in weeks? And now that I see you again, you are doing something pretty dangerous. [She will only pout a bit.] You are worse than him sometimes.

[Man, if Aerith knew what you've been up to, then she would go up to Leon and thank him for not being as reckless. Aerith keeps watching him wondering if he was searching for something important, but decided not to pry further. She'll figure it out sooner or later. The raised eyebrow does catch her attention, but his question gets her to blush and pout further. Damn. Did you HAVE to hear that?]

I'm training Maria the difference between family, friends, and strangers. Sometimes she tends to run off with anyone that catches her attention, so I want to get rid of her bad habit. She knows Leon, so I want her to know you are Uncle Squall. A different kind of Uncle. [Glances away] Is it okay if she knows you as family?

[ While getting drenched by the rain but that's besides the point. ]

Without a jacket and you're completely soaked, isn't it? [She noticed the Cyndaquil was covered with the jacket.] How is he?

[Nodding her head softly.] Mmm, I do. Maria is only a baby, so I want her to know who she could trust if anything happens to me. [She smiles a bit.] You're a little like family to me....so I...want to make sure my pokemon know who to trust if anything happens.

...Apparently he still felt the cold in his ball, for some reason.

[ He stares at his 'gear for a moment before looking away. It's not like he has a choice in this, right so... ]

....that's a little odd. I always thought the pokeballs protected the pokemon from the weather. [Or at least, she's been returning her pokemon into their pokeballs when the weather was too much for them.] How long has he been...a little chilled?

[Aerith was pretty surprised by Squall's response to her family explanation. She was expecting him to either: Not care or tell her to stop. She couldn't help smile happily because she was being honest about the whole family of friends thing.]

Thank you, Squall! I almost thought you were going to reject the idea.
