☇015 - Video/Action for Ecruteak City, just outside the Tower

[ For the first time in weeks days, Squall finally appears on the network. Head tilted toward the sky, his brows furrows at the sight of snow intermingled with the hard rain. He's soaked, drenched and without a jacket. ]

Damn, thought I heard...

[ His head jerks at the sound of more thunder and a flash of lightning. Immediately he searches for the sound and finds nothing. Whatever brought him out of the tower, it had to be the lightning. Physically, he looks strained and tired--like he hasn't been sleeping properly. ]

Just another storm. Isn't it?

[ Squall glances toward his pokegear before reaching down to pick up his Cyndaquil. The fire-type seems to be wrapped up tightly with Squall's jacket before snuggling more into his chest.

[ The feed ends. ]

[ Squall just shrugs. Yeah, he got that and dammit, he's not going to mention how much he's guilt-tripping about not being there when Quistis first arrived--especially to this guy. ]

[ Sadly, all Leon sees is some pretty epic linefacing, and assumes Squall doesn't care. Oh well! ]

Aren't you cold? [ There's something vaguely approaching approval when he sees Squall protecting the shivering Cyndaquil...but wouldn't he be safer back in his ball? ]

It's not that bad.

[ Says the man who had Shiva equipped almost constantly in his world. Squall glances down at the Cyndaquil he's carrying and pets it absently. The mouse coos softly and snuggles up closer to Squall. ]

[ There isn't much he can say to that; if it weren't for Aerith's sewing skills, he'd probably still be in a jacket. Some things just don't change. When Cyndaquil snuggles up to his trainer, the effort of having to coincide the thoughts 'Squall' and 'cute' is nearly too much to handle. ]

...nothing, really. [ A pause. ] Sorry to bother you.

[ And the feed shuts off. One day, they will have a real conversation. One day. ]

[ Squall scoffs, rolling his eyes. If this is how their conversations will be, there's no way they'll have a real conversation between them.

[ Not that Squall would ever want one. No way. ]
