[ Squall's tone is brisk, authoritative and firmly blunt. To some, he might actually sound like as if he's addressing an army and maybe he is. He's not thinking too much except what his duty is. He's acting like the SeeD Commander he is (unconsciously, unintentionally), which might come off as a surprise to those who knew him in the Conflict. He never did told anyone or acted in anyway that he was a Commander of SeeD. ]

[ Click! The Cyndaquil pokes at the device unwittingly turning on the video function as its trainer stares out at the body of water in front of him, a fishing rod in his hands. Squall glances toward the pokemon, scoffing before calling out ]

[ The SeeD shakes his head, cupping his chin in the palm of one hand. For the first time in a while (to those that really know him ~~or a version of him~~), he almost looks relaxed..? ]

Cyndaquil Quil Quil, Cynda.

Tch. Get over here and leave my pack alone. (The more time I spent with you... the more I'm reminded of Zell. Just as impatient as he was.)

[ Squall's lips twitch and the Cyndaquil squeals in response before prodding its nose more into the pack, pulling out one of the items from it before striding over to Squall's side. Almost immediately, it presses itself against the SeeD, dropping its find in brunet's lap ]

[ Just then a tug on the pole draws Squall's attention just as the feed is cut. ]

[[ ooc: Dated for afternoon of August 28. For the record, Squall doesn't fish much but it's a balamb thing and he only has a rod because ~~Zell~~ the currently unnamed Cyndaquil knocked over the display cases of rods in the Pokémart. orz Squally decided he might as well do something with the rod he bought (as an apology to the store owner).]]

[ the voice recorder function clicks on by accident. in the background, a whine could be heard (Cyn, Cynda?) ]

...How did you get out? (Hyne, I have no time for this. What am I? A Child?)

[ (Cyndaquill! Quill, Cyn Da Cynda Quill!) ]

(It's bad enough you keep insisting on following me every single time I try to get rid of you...)

[ a louder thud followed by a groan of aggravation (and maybe a grunt of pain too?) ]

Fine, fine, do what you want. Just keep quiet or I'll throw you into the nearest body of water I find. (Not my day, seriously so not my day. Thought things would get better after the Conflict... Guess not.)
