Mission: 001 - Video
Apr. 16th, 2011 04:51 pm[The pokegear clicked on, probably nudged by accident when Squall shifted his leg or when a certain water pokemon was fiddling with it. Feet propped up on the desk, the brunet calmly and casually turned the page of the book he reading. It had been what? 5 days since he arrived?
And he and Zidane were still stuck in New Bark Town. All because of Zidane's bleeding heart. Fantastic.
Squall scoffed, shaking his head. Next to the desk was a cot and the only indicators there was someone on it was a lone blond spike of hair barely peering over the edge of the desk and a splash of white booties on the far end of the cot. Squall's position obscured a complete view of the cot and occupant but the booties were definitely still in plain sight.
Someone very observant might actually spy a couple belts wrapped around the ankles of said booties, tying the occupant to the cot. Who knows if there was any more restraints on the occupant, much less the reason why the occupant was restrained.]
...Hn. (Zidane... should have been back by now.)
[He sighed heavily, shaking his head as he turned another page]
(Not that he'll be off any help. He'll only let this guy go. Again. No matter how many times I told him, we can't trust him to be by himself. Injured or not.)
[A sudden noise (scoff, rather) drew Squall's attention. Lifting his head, he turned to glance at his 'prisoner', whose booties tugged the belts before settling back in place. It wasn't like Squall tied him up too tightly. Just tight enough to ensure he didn't go off escaping and plotting Squall and Zidane's doom and then following through with it.]
If this is your idea of helping, then it's no wonder Cosmos' Warriors seem to lose the Cycles.
Like you know anything about that? (Cycles...? What the hell is this guy talking about? There was only one Conflict. Cosmos never mentioned anything about Cycles.
(Shouldn't believe him anyway. He's the enemy)
[[OoC: SO! Basically Cloud is tied up (still injured cause lol, he was near death when arriving) in a borrowed cot that's anchored onto the floor, so sorry Cloud, you can't just flop over and run. Squall's on 'guard duty' because injured Cloud is still an enemy of his and cannot be trusted.
And yes, those are Squall's belts restraining Cloud to legs of said cot. I couldn't help it! Feel free to mention rope to Squall! Though it's very likely he found it and decided his belts work better. The boy wears at least 6. :|
And to give some back story, every time Zidane is watching Cloud, Cloud gets untied and proper care (and to check his pokegear). When it's Squall's turn, he gets tied up. :|b]]

Date: 2011-04-17 03:12 am (UTC)[Stop humanizing the enemy, Cecil. Squall might not remember much about his homeworld but that SeeD training is ingrained into his soul.]

Date: 2011-04-17 03:20 am (UTC)[Cecil hates talking about resources like this. It always feels like he's ignoring the human part of combat. But if it gets through Squall's head...]

Have you been training your Pokémon since you arrived?

Date: 2011-04-21 01:37 am (UTC)That would be the one. You started out with a Cyndaquil, a Fire-type, last time. I wonder which one you have right now?
Date: 2011-04-21 01:46 am (UTC)[He shifted his grip on the ball. The book mentioned something about types. Fire being one of the few described, besides Water and Grass. Something about the typical starters being of one of those three types.]
Date: 2011-04-21 01:52 am (UTC)The best possible type to use against Azalea's Bugsy. It also works well for the Violet, Goldenrod and Ecruteak Gyms. They were also extremely useful during the winter.

Date: 2011-04-21 03:53 am (UTC)[Squall shrugged lightly, staring at the ball in his hand. Letting it expand, he tossed the item into the air and watched as the red light appeared.
In front of him, a stern looking green praying mantis-like creature eyed him just as warily as Squall did it.]

[So begins round 1 of Squall vs Scyther's constant staring matches of stoicism.]
