[ Squall looks up and stares at the wtf pixelated buildings and people of Ecruteak City. Besides him is Suzuki. Seems like the two of them somehow ended up here of all places. :|b

[ The SeeD tilts his head to the side, eyes closed momentarily as he listens to the background before scoffing. ]

The damn music is still playing. Even here. (There goes that plan. Actually thought walking around might actually... make it go away.)

[ He turns to look at Suzuki, eyebrow raised. ]

Any idea where we are?

Wouldn't they have a sign or something stating what specialty they are, as well?

This city isn't that big... So logic would denote... [motions over to the gym-like building that is obviously the biggest thing here.]

[ Squall reads the sign before entering the gym. Not to battle but to scout the area. He pauses and blinks, staring down at the--THERE IS NO FLOOR IN THIS GYM, WHAT--floating trainers. He could almost make out the gym leader in the far back. ]

[ Squall cautiously starts to move further through the gym. The sounds of his feet hitting something invisible is a bit of a relief but Hyne dammit, he wasn't expecting this.]



[ Approaching the Trainer, the Trainer straightens and brandishes a pokeball at Squall--Battle time! ]

--Ohohohohoho New Challenger for Morty! Come show me your strengths against my Ancient Pokemon!--

[ Squall nods and pulls out Diablos's ball ]

Diablos. Appear.

[ The Duskull appears on cue with a muted "Duskkull...". Squall's eyes widen in surprise, seeing his ghost as looking pretty much like a flat pixelated image on a computer screen. WHAT THE FUCK--

[ Tightening his jaw, Squall immediately forces himself to look at the trainer challenging him, waiting for what pokemon will be sent out first ]

[ Watching his Ghost do just that, Squall kept his eyes on the pixelated man before him, instead of focusing on the battle itself. He trusted his Diablos, to get through this easy. ]

--Confuse Ray, eh? Child's play boy! Gastly! Night Shade! ...Wha-? Gastly! I said Night Shade! Not on yourself! On it! The Duskull!!--

[ Squall smirked to himself, knowing that Diablos did exactly what he asked and waited for his Duskull to do the next part of their strategy for battling. When Diablos didn't, Squall turned his head toward his pokemon and blinked ]

[Adelheid in the meantime is still trying to piece together the situation regarding the pokemon in their pixelated states. And now this...]

Has he ever done this before? [she frowns and looks a bit frustrated. Obviously Squall knows how to battle with his pokemon, but this just fucked up.]

[ He ordered his Duskull again to do Shadow Sneak only to see Diablos attack after the Gastly had time to recover from Confusion and retaliate with a bloody Night Shade. ]

Diablos is usually much faster to respond than this... Dammit, think what ever is affecting the route travel and music is behind this too?
